New York Weddings Winter 2014 Cake Feature

For the 2014 Winter issue of New York Weddings magazine we created a cake that had a distinct yet very familiar texture.  Can you guess where you've seen this cracked pattern?

When trying to come up with the ideas for this cake I happened to be at Home Depot.  I was looking through some ceiling light covers and thought...why not use the textured cover as a fondant embosser?!  Add some piped swags and here's how it turned out.

Dress Details

We made a 6 tier wedding cake this past weekend completely inspired by the patterns of the bride's wedding dress.

America's Prettiest Wedding Cakes

Our cake is on the opening page of "America's Prettiest Wedding Cakes" in Brides Magazine Aug/Sept 2013.  Check out the issue for a handful of pretty cakes as well as a list of the best bakers in every state.

Graduation Cake

Summer means graduation parties.  Here's a grad cake we made last week for a young lady headed to Barnard in NYC!  Best wishes to all 2013 grads!

The classic graduation cap and diploma topped off the cake.

Here are some pics of a fun grooms cake!  This was a cake replica of the groom's convertible.
